Synopsis
Gauri (Rekha) has been brought up traditionally by a kind old man (Ashok Kumar). His grandson,Shashikant (Jeetendra) is a compulsive flirt but Gauri has always been in love with him. The old man compels Shashikant to marry Gauri and they settle down to marital bliss. Misunderstandings soon turn to quarrels and their relationship breaks down. Gauri,who is pregnant,walks out of the house,leaving their older son with Shashikant. Years later,the boys (Arun Govil and Sachin) grow up and become friends without knowing their relationship.
